Frequently asked questions

These are the questions newsroom colleagues ask most often before booking. If yours is not covered here, send it through the contact page and we will reply.

How do I book a crew or a studio session?

Send an enquiry through the contact page with the date, location, type of work and the format you need. We reply with any questions and then send a written quotation. Once you accept, we confirm the booking in writing. Nothing is bought on the website itself.

How quickly can a crew get to a developing story?

It depends on where the story is and what the crew is already committed to. We will tell you honestly when you call, rather than promise a time we cannot keep. Giving us the exact location and your deadline at the start helps us answer straight away.

What file formats can you deliver?

We deliver in the format and specification your gallery asks for. Tell us the codec, frame rate and delivery route at the briefing, and we will work to them. If you are unsure, we can ask your technical team directly and confirm in writing.

Do you add captions to finished items?

Yes, captioning is part of our rapid edit and delivery service. Captions are checked against the spoken audio before export. Let us know your house style for spelling and line length when you book, so the captions match the rest of your output.

How is payment handled?

After the work, we send an invoice that you pay by bank transfer. The written quotation or confirmation sets out what the price includes and what could change it. There is no card payment, checkout or online ordering on this website.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Cancellations and refunds follow our payment and refund policy, which you can read on the website. If your plans change, contact us as soon as you can and we will explain where things stand, referring to the quotation you accepted.

Can you work to our studio's lighting and branding?

For studio sessions we design the lighting and frame the set to suit your presenters and guests. If you have a house look or branding to match, send us references beforehand so Tom can plan the set-up and check the equipment.

What does a newsroom workflow review involve?

We spend time with your producers and editors, follow how a story moves from tip to transmission and note where time is lost. You receive practical suggestions your team can adopt without replacing existing systems. The scope is agreed in writing before we begin.
